Hello World! My name is (I go by) Sparc. I am new to this board, and looking around. I have already had the pleasure of holding a 'private conversation' with one of the members here, and feel rather welcomed because of it! I am a long time gamer, general tech enthusiast, "gear-head" (car/motorcycle) enthusiast, and (now) archiver (among many other things)! I have also had an interest in 'game making' most of my life too, granted I've never completely made anything to date... Even been contemplating creating a board/table-top game too!!! That all started, I'm sure, when I got my toes wet with 'level design' making maps for the original DOOM ('93) when I was just a kid!
At one point or another I know I 'picked up' RealmCrafter, intent to eventually make something with it. One thing leads to another and it, like most other "tech stuff", winds up taking a back-seat to other life events. Like having kids of my own! Well just "the other day" I had it pop into my head, so I feverishly start searching my HDD's for it. What's that!? Where did it go!? Okay, no big deal, I will be able to find it via the companies website again right!? Nope, nowhere to be found, oh boy what am I to do!? A little google-fu later and this very board pops up, so I register and start searching around for anything and everything RC related that I can add to my archives! Had a rather pleasantly inviting conversation with someone here, and decided to post up and say hi to all!

So far I think my searching has been primarily successful, I think the only thing I never found was RC pro... I picked up two different CE versions from links on this very board. I saved all the scripts linked to from this very board (thanks Taz, and other script contributors)! I saved the thread/post about 'optimization' (into a txt file)... Then I also found RC standard 1.26 (https://github.com/zarosath/RealmCrafter-Standard-1.26) via more google-fu... Then, even though I haven't the first clue about it, I downloaded Blitz: Plus, MAX, and 3D (from blitzresearch.itch.io/ & blitzmax.org/ & github.com/blitz-research/ respectively). To sum it up, my archive structure (for RC & related) currently looks like this:
-Blitz 3D [dir]
-Blitz MAX [dir]
-Blitz Plus [dir]
-SCRIPTS [dir]**
-SCRIPTS [dir]**
-Optimization.txt**
-RCCE 2.0.zip**
-RCCEFE2.0.zip**
-RealmCrafter-Standard-1.26-master.zip
key == **-from here
I suppose I should ask since it seems that this is the current 'authority' on anything RC related: are the external sources I found and used 'trustworthy'/reliable/up to date? (https://github.com/zarosath/RealmCrafter-Standard-1.26 , blitzresearch.itch.io/ & blitzmax.org/ & github.com/blitz-research/ )? If anything I do believe it should be worth noting that the 1.26 standard download page links back to this very board (and scripts specifically too).

At any rate, I have definitely learned the value of being an archiver! Please get in touch with me (publicly or privately) if you would like to contribute to my archive for RC and RC related things! Right now the only thing I can think of that I am aware of that I may be missing would be "pro". That and possibly a pre-compiled version of Standard (1.26). If there's something else I should add to my 'must have' list, please also let me know (even if you, yourself do not have it). Being that I am trying to do my best to 'officially' archive RC, I will even gladly archive any "broken" or "mistake" items as well... I now, more than ever, feel the importance of keeping everything possible in an archive! So that, should it ever pop up in the future I can be 'that guy' who goes "I have that"/"I kept that", and be able to keep things (like this) alive moving forward in the future!!! Right now I consider it higher priority to get my archive completed before I even think of actually 'tinkering' around with RC itself
