Hey everyone. So like many of you I suppose I'm here thinking where will RealmCrafter go from here, I picked up the software more than a decade ago and I've seen it through many iterations, what is the current version that's being advocated on the forums? Is it a continuation of the RCCE or are we back to 1.25/1.26 source?
I'd also wonder where do people want to take this from here, do we want to advertise, do we want to build up a stronger version and cater to only a smaller niche of us, do we want to take donations and pay people to work on the engine to develop it properly ourselves? I'd be interested to hear what people haveto say, I always loved this software, and it's nice to see it not disappearing completely, we have a chance here, let's make it awesome.

Hello there and welcome! Realmcrafter.co.uk has nothing to do with RealmCrafter: Community Edition. Basically, we're going back to before Solstar abandoned us with 1.26 (including it's source) and hoping to build up new versions from there. Everything on realmcrafter.co.uk (that's realmcrafter related) will be free since it's not our property. I plan on releasing custom updates and since the source is also released, I'm sure there'll be others interested in working on it (and who knows, perhaps the RCCE developers will return one day). There is plans for model packs to be released which will be for sale, though these will be available for use in any engine. The main aim of realmcrafter.co.uk is to archive the engine (the good, decent and the bad *cough*pro*cough*) along with the tutorials and scripts posted on the previous forums (or atleast the ones that were salvaged). I feel like this might be the last chance for the engine and hopefully it'll be the only chance we need. And once again, welcome back!

I hope all can follow only one project Or end up as rcce, confusion and no actual result achieved. Realm crafter is a good engine for indie project, everyone can start and lern fast how to use, but in this over ten years very, very low resource. In all this time rest inside the engine some bug unsolved for example, trade bug. Not is present a good script for guild, all element essential for a mmorpg. i'm sure RC can survive only if more people can have access to engine.

Hopefully since the engine has been "leaked" and with no sign of Solstar returning, there will be new users coming. I'm planning on doing my own updates for the engine (not rushing to do them though) to fix several bugs and add in some small features. As for scripts for essential MMORPG features, there are a couple of guild scripts on the wiki (along with many more scripts. There's around 175 pages on the wiki right now I believe, most of them being very advanced scripts or tutorials related to scripting). Since the source for the engine has also been "leaked", and with BlitzMax and Blitz3D being free, users can also make their own edits to the source so that they can shape RealmCrafter with features that they need.

There is a sample game with 3D resources (and user made models) on the product page. I do plan to expand the models there are available to download with the help of a friend and in the future I'll create some more sample games/game templates.

This is amazing.I bought the original reamcrafter many many years ago, also had a project going for a while which I sadly lost back then but I always been checking realcrafter every few months to see what has happened.Good to see there is someone actively trying to bring it back to life. This engine has potential still.I remember theres been a few commercial products thaqt were made with this but the devs didn't say that themselves.Knights of dream city was once.It was a nice game while it was being run and also AoF world online.Ill download the files from the product page and start tinkering to see if I can get something new going. Thanks for doing this

And yeah, there were a couple games released with all apart from one being dead now (AoF World being the only RealmCrafter game that is still up as you said, though I'm trying to get a small alpha out for my game sometime in the next week or two). Can't wait to see what your tinkering will lead to! Also if you know any old RealmCrafter users, feel free to send them here since there were a ton of people who probably can't access the product the rightfully own due to Solstar being incapable of running a business.

So what is required to remake RC? I'm currently studying Webdesign and would love to help evolve RC into something more. Recently tried the program and there is a ton of space for improvement for it.

The engine used the blitz software which can be used to edit the source (blitz3d and blitz plus).
